One of the most iconic title fights in the UFC over the last few years was the welterweight title fighter between Robbie Lawler and Rory MacDonald at UFC 189.
In that fight, the champion pulled an amazing come from behind victory to finish MacDonald with strikes in the fifth round to keep his title.
Recently, the man on the losing end of that fight in MacDonald did a Reddit AMA and a user by the name of cczzrr asked him the following question:
Do you think Robbie Lawler was on peds when you fought?
MacDonald’s answer would be short and sweet:
IM CONVINCED HE WAS
It should be noted that both Lawler and MacDonald were rigorously tested before and after the fight, neither fighter failed any drug test. In fact, none of the fighters who competed on the UFC 189 card failed a drug test, there was a total of 22 fighters competing on that card.
Lawler has yet to respond in any way to the comments made by his one time adversary.
Since that epic encounter, the champion became a former champion after losing the belt to Tyron Woodley at UFC 201. MacDonald on the other hand has left the UFC and is a top contender for the welterweight title in Bellator MMA.
