Rose Namajunas very well could get a UFC title shot this Summer.

Namajunas dominated the highly touted (and #6-ranked) Michelle Waterson. The TUF finalist flattened Waterson with a huge head kick in the second round that spelled the end for "the Karate Hottie."

Round Two: The round begins with Waterson kicking Namajunas in the head, Waterson goes back to attacking Namajunas with oblique kicks. Waterson then lands a kick to the midsection of Namajunas, Waterson eats a right before attacking Namajunas with leg kicks. Namajunas drops Waterson with a head kick and she pounces on her with some strikes, Namajunas settles in the side control position on Waterson. Namajunas moves to the full guard of Waterson while landing more ground and pound, Waterson scrambles to her feet and Namajunas jumps on her back. Namajunas locks in the rear naked choke and a tap out follows.

Following the bout, Namajunas declared her intent to challenge the winner of UFC 211's Women's Strawweight Championship fight between Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Jessica Andrade. Namajunas challenged for the inagural title in 2014 in just her fourth pro fight. Since dropping that bout, she's 4-1, with her only loss being a "Fight of the Night" performance, losing a split decision to Karolina Kowalkiewicz.
