Undefeated lightweight star Ryan Garcia, responded to some of the recent comments made from undefeated three-division champion, Gervonta "Tank" Davis' trainer, Calvin Ford about how he wants Tank to "punish Ryan" in their matchup.
Garcia spoke with the media on Thursday in Las Vegas, Nevada at the pre-fight press conference ahead of his bout with Davis tomorrow night and gave a fiery response to the 28-year-old Baltimore, Maryland native directly, calling out his punching output specifically as a reason he doesn't see Ford's prediction coming true.
“They’re talking about, ‘I wanna punish him,'", Garcia said (h/t Bad Left Hook). "This man’s never punished anybody in his life. This man’s always losing. You don’t punish nobody, so get that out of your delusional mind, bro. You're not going to punish me in no way. You’re gonna get punished. You’ve got the lowest punch output in boxing right now. You understand that? You’re not punishing nobody. Get that out of your mind. You walked into the wrong guy right here. This is the moment where everything catches up to you, in every way. Trust me! Your whole career’s gonna come to a halt. Not finished, you'll be able to come back a good man. But trust me, everything comes to a halt on Saturday night. You’re gonna learn the hard way. The hard way’s coming to you real quick. You’re finished and you’re gonna have a lot to think about, trust me.”
War of words is non-stop between @Gervontaa and @RyanGarcia --#DavisGarcia
