Lightweight contenders Ryan Garcia and Javier Fortuna will meet on July 16 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.
Golden Boy Promotions officially announced the matchup via a tweet on Tuesday, while ESPN's Mike Coppinger was the first to report the bout being in the works on Monday. Garcia is undefeated as a pro currently, sitting at 22-0, and is coming off of a unanimous decision victory over former IBO lightweight champion, Emmanuel Tagoe, back in April. Fortuna meanwhile is 37-3-1-2 as a pro and is a former two-division world champ. He defeated Rafael Hernandez via a first-round KO in his latest appearance back in February.
