Surgery is expected to happen this Thursday according to O’Malley, a recovery time should be known once the procedure commences. There is no word as to why the hip needed surgery in the first place, whether or not is was due to O'Malley's fighting career or something else.
O’Malley is currently 2-0-0 in the UFC (10-0-0 overall), with those wins coming over the duo of Andre Soukhamthath and Terrion Ware, O’Malley shot to national prominence on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 2, when he defeated Alfred Khashakyan by first round knockout.
