ESPN's Brett Okamoto was the first to report the news of the exciting bantamweight bout, the promotion is currently in the process of finalizing the matchup. O'Malley will look to finish 2021 with a 3-0 record inside of the Octagon when he takes on Paiva. He defeated Kris Moutinho via a third-round TKO at UFC 264 in his last appearance. Paiva will also try to continue to build momentum off of his current three-fight winning streak, he beat Kyle Phillips via a majority decision at UFC Vegas 32 in his most recent outing.
