The main event has been announced for next weeks PFL 7 card and its going to be a light heavyweight division bout as Smealinho Rama takes on Jamie Abdallah.
Rama (10-4-0) is winless thus far in the inaugural PFL season, dropping a bout to former Bellator MMA Middleweight Champion Brandon Halsey at PFL 2. Rama hasn’t picked up a win in almost two years, with that last victory coming over Jake Heun at the WSOF 34. Rama is a former WSOF Heavyweight Champion, defeating Derrick Mehmen at WSOF 14 to claim the gold.
Abdallah (2-3-0) is also winless thus far in the first season of the PFL, suffering a first round submission loss to Vinny Magalhaes at the PFL 2. Abdallah enters the fight while riding a three bout losing streak and he hasn’t picked up a win in almost three years. Abdallah is a veteran of the Australian Fighting Championship promotion, winning two of four in the organization.
Other bouts on the ten fight card include Jason High vs. Johnny Case, Bazigit Ataev vs. Sean O’Connell, Alexandre Bezerra vs. Magomed Idrisov, Paul Bradley vs. Anderson Ferreira de Souza Santos, Caio Alencar vs. Mike Kyle, Caio Magalhaes vs. Sadibou Sy, Jason Butcher vs. Emiliano Sordi, Muhammed DeReese vs. LeRoy Johnson, Saidyokub Kakharamonov vs. Omar Nurmagomedov and Robert Hale vs. Ramazan Kuramagomedov.
Professional Fighters League 7 takes place on Thursday, August 30 from the Ocean Resort & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey with Smealinho Rama and Jamie Abdallah headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the NBC Sports Network.
