COCONUT CREEK, FL USA
#8 World Ranked UFC Welterweight star Colby “Chaos” Covington (12-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) has enlisted professional wrestler and fitness expert Stevie Richards of Stevie Richards Fitness (stevierichardsfitness.com) to join his camp as a strength and conditioning coach.
Stevie Richards is known for his tremendous work ethic and in-ring shape for over 26 years. In addition to being a former 23x WWF/WWE Hardcore Champion, Richards was also voted one of the “50 Most Jacked WWE Superstars of All Time.”
Since leaving World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), Richards has developed his own fitness brand, which has earned him praise from his wrestling peers as well as the global fitness industry.
Colby Covington is a former Division 1, All-American, 2x NCAA Pac 10 Champion and is currently the #8 ranked Welterweight Mixed Martial Artist in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC.) Covington has amassed a UFC record of 7-1 with his most recent victory coming in June of 2017 against #10 ranked Dong Hyun Kim.
Covington’s next UFC bout remains unscheduled, but the preparation process has already begun.
“I’m excited to be welcoming Stevie Richards as a member of Team Colby”, said Covington. “Everything is coming together right now for me. Stevie is coming on board and we’re going to revolutionize this sport. There’s nothing better than having a pro wrestler that didn’t cheat to win, is all natural and didn’t give in to putting steroids in his body. He’s a hard worker just like me and I know he can help elevate me to where I need to go.”
Richards response:
“First, I’d like to thank Colby for giving me the opportunity to be a part of something special as a member of his team. Colby has already proven to have all the necessary skills to be a great champion in my book All he needs now is UFC to give him the fight, which with his talent, is inevitable. I also have a message to all of those sitting around doubting both of us right now; We’ll show you. You’ll see.”
Covington and Richards will do all of their preparation for their upcoming fight camp at American Top Team in Coconut Creek, FL USA.

The oft-controversial Covington has found success in the UFC, going 7-1. Pro wrestlers without pro MMA experience is nothing new, as Al Snow appeared in the corner of Dan Severn two decades ago.
