Stipe Miocic Relishing Underdog Role Ahead Of Potential Jon Jones Matchup: "I Love Being The Underdog"

Former UFC heavyweight champion, Stipe Miocic, is relishing being an underdog in a potential matchup against current heavyweight champ, Jon Jones.

Miocic recently spoke with TMZ Sports and explained why he didn't make much of Jones' win over Ciryl Gane this past weekend at UFC 285, as well as why he's happy to be overlooked by everyone whenever he faces the two-division UFC champ sometime later this year.

“He won, good for him,” Miocic said (h/t MMA Junkie). “That’s about it. It didn’t last long so I can’t really say much, but he got the win. That’s all that matters and the finish. I don’t really have much to say because it wasn’t that long of a fight. Hell yeah, it does (motivate me). I love being the underdog, I love being told something is not gonna happen because I’m the guy that puts a big dagger in that.”
