Undefeated WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford will make his next title defense against former interim WBA champ, David Avanesyan, on December 10 at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
ESPN's Mike Coppinger was the first to report the news of the matchup being in the works, although no announcement has been officially made yet regarding the event or bout. Crawford is heralded as one of the pound-for-pound best boxers in the sport currently and is 38-0 as a pro. He defeated two-time welterweight champion, Shawn Porter, via a tenth-round TKO last November in his latest outing. Avanesyan on the other hand is 29-3-1 overall as a pro and beat Oskari Metz via a first-round TKO in March to retain his European welterweight title in his most recent bout.
These highlights speak for themselves.
