Means (17-8-1-1NC) has won just one of his last three fights under the UFC banner, which came over Alex Garcia at UFC Fight Night Oklahoma City. Means also had a two fight battle with Alex Oliveira in the UFC, fighting him to a no contest at UFC 207 and suffering a defeat to him at UFC Fight Night 106. Means is current enjoying his second run with the UFC, having earned a record of 7-3-0-1NC during that second run.

Muhammad (12-2-0) enters the fight on the strength of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Randy Brown and Jordan Mein. Muhammad is also a former Titan Fighting Championships Welterweight Champion, defeating Steve Carl to win the belt at Titan FC 38. Muhammad has suffered his only two professional MMA defeats during his time in the UFC. Those losses came to Vincente Luque and Alan Jouban.

UFC Fight Night Sydney takes place on Saturday, November 18 from the Qudus Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia with Fabricio Werdum and Marcin Tybura headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
