Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz defeated another former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion in Chuck Liddell by first round knockout in the main event of Golden Boy MMA: Liddell vs. Ortiz III.
The event drew some criticism from a lot of people, with one of those criticizing the show being UFC President Dana White.
White blasted the event as a whole, while also calling Golden Boy MMA promoter Oscar De La Hoya “Oscar De La Crackhead.”
Ortiz, who has defended the event once already, has also taken to Instagram to respond to the comments made by White:
CSAC Executive Director Andy Foster also came out in defense of the show, saying both Liddell and Ortiz passed all medicals in the lead up to their clash. Ortiz would retire immediately after the event, while Liddell’s future in the sport remains hazy at best right now.
