A middleweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Poland as Trevor Smith is in action against Ramazan Emeev.
The bout was first reported by MMA Today.
Smith (15-7-0) has won three of his last four under the UFC banner, with those three wins coming over Dan Miller, Joe Gigliotti and Chris Camozzi. Smith has seen his last four fights go the distance and it has been almost three years since the last time he got a finish in a fight. Smith also competed in the Strikeforce promotion, where he defeated future Bellator MMA fighter Keith Berry.
Emeev (15-3-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and he does so on the strength of a four fight winning streak. Emeev is the current M-1 Challenge Middleweight Champion and he defeated UFC veteran Luigi Fioravanti during that title reign. Emeev has spent the majority of his professional MMA career in the M-1 Challenge promotion and this fight against Smith is the first time he has competed outside the promotion in over six years.
UFC Fight Night: Poland takes place on Saturday, October 21 from the Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
