Trevor Smith Stepping In At UFC Fight Night 109

Magnus Cedenblad has suffered an injury and he is off of the UFC Fight Night 109 card. Replacing him against Chris Camozzi will be Trevor Smith.

Camozzi (24-12-0) will be entering the fight riding a two fight losing streak, dropping fights to Rafael Natal and Daniel Kelly. Camozzi will be competing on his sixth straight “Fight Night” card and this is also his second run with the UFC. Camozzi will be fighting outside of North America for the second straight fight, as his last fight at UFC Fight Night 101 took place in Australia.

Smith (14-7-0) has won two of his last three under the UFC banner, with those two victories coming over Dan Miller and Joseph Gigliotti. Smith has yet to compete on a UFC pay-per-view card, have fought 8 times in the near four year run he has had in the promotion. Smith also fought four time in Strikeforce, with his biggest win coming over Keith Berry at Strikeforce Challengers 16.

UFC Fight Night 109 takes place on Saturday, May 28 from the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden with Alexander Gustafsson and Glover Teixeira headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the show, with a post-show podcast to follow.
