The world is still reeling from a terrorist attack that took place yesterday in Vienna, killing at least four people.
A pair of MMA fighters in Mikail Ozen and Recep Tayyip Gültekin kept the death toll from increasing higher after saving some lives, starting with an elderly woman.
“After I carried the woman to a nearby restaurant, the terrorist pointed his gun at me,” Gultekin said to TRT World. “A pellet from this gun hit the back of my right leg. However, it did not cause any major injury.”
Reports from various outlets state that the fighters heard the gunshots ringing out and ran towards where the havoc was taking place. Both of the men also saved another woman and an injured police officer.
“Other police officers were looking at [the wounded officer], they did nothing while I shouted at them for help,” Gultekin said. “I told Mikail we will do this. We reached the police. We carried the police to the ambulance me, by holding his back, and my friend by his feet.”
