UFC Fight Night 103 took place on Sunday, January 15 with Yair Rodriguez defeating former UFC Lightweight Champion and former UFC Welterweight Champion BJ Penn by second round TKO.

The event, which went head to head with the AFC Division Playoff Game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers, averaged a total of 1,090,000 viewers.

The peak of the show came during the main event between Rodriguez and Penn would see a peak audience of 1,604,000 viewers. The preliminary card, which featured Drakkar Close and Devin Powell in the featured spot, averaged 824,000 viewers.

The pre-show for the event, which aired on Fox Sports 1, averaged 113,000 viewers and the post-fight show, which also aired on Fox Sports 1, averaged 364,000 viewers. It should be noted that the pre-show went head to head against the NFC Division Playoff Game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers, which was the most watched divisional playoff game in over two decades.

This was the first UFC event of 2017, the next event will be UFC On Fox 23 on January 28, which will be headlined by Juliana Pena facing Valentina Shevchenko, the first pay-per-view of the year will be UFC 208 on February 11.
