Sean Strickland was last seen in the Octagon at UFC Fight Night Moncton in October of this year, defeating Nordine Taleb by second round TKO.

The fighter, while riding home on a motorcycle from a training session with Kings MMA, was struck by a vehicle going at a high rate of speed.

Strickland would share the information via two Instagram posts, one of which has already been deleted:

“I was riding back from Kings (MMA), and I got in an accident. It wasn’t my fault, but I’ve been blacked out for a good minute. I just came to after surgery. It’s going to be a long road back, but I love fighting, so I’ll get back on the ball and make it happen. Thanks for the support.”

There is no word yet on when Strickland may be able to return to action, but more should be known as the competitor heals up from the injuries from the accident.
