Cody Sandhagen firmly established himself as the next in line for the bantamweight title with an absolutely vicious flying knee knockout of legendary former UFC champion Frankie Edgar in less than 30 seconds of the very first round.  

Clay Guida def. Michael Johnson via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

In a battle between longtime UFC veterans, Clay Guida emerged victorious over Michael Johnson, using a classic Team Alpha Male approach of double leg takedowns, and big overhand rights. He won a complete shutout, not allowing Johnson to get much of anyting going.

Alexandre Pantoja def. Manel Kape via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27)

In a simmering kickboxing match that never really got out of first gear, Brazil's Alexandre Pantoja rode a consistently active approach to win a unanimous decision victory over Portugal's Manel Kape.

Beneil Dariush def. Diego Ferreira via Split Decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28)

After opening the fight with an easy round of the year contender in the first round, Iran's Beneil Dariush scored his 6th consecutive win over Brazil's Diego Ferreira. After the wild first, Dariush's consistent application of pressure, both on the feet, but especially on the ground which was his key to victory.

The entire first round of this fight is an absolute must-see.

Danilo Marques def. Mike Rodriguez via Technical Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) - 4:52 Rd. 2

Brazilian Danilo Marques scored a submission victory by putting Mike Rodriguez all the way to sleep via rear-naked choke. Marques consistently pressed for the takedown, and after softening Rodriguez up with ground and pound through the first, Marques used to very nifty tricks to secure the RNC finish in the second.
