A middleweight division affair is the latest addition to next month's Bellator 181 card as UFC veteran Mike Rhodes faces Rafael Lovato Jr.
Rhodes (10-4-0) is going to be making his Bellator MMA debut in this fight and he is doing so while riding a four fight winning streak. Rhodes fought three times under the UFC banner, dropping all three fights to George Sullivan, Robert Whittaker and Erick Silva. Rhodes is also a former Resurrection Fighting Alliance Welterweight Champion, defeating Alan Jouban to win the title in October of 2013.
Lovato Jr. (5-0-0) has already competed once under the Bellator MMA banner, having defeated Charles Hackmann at Bellator 174. Lovato Jr. has spent the majority of his career in the Legacy Fighting Championships, where he holds a win over LFA headliner Kevin Holland. Lovato Jr. has yet to have a fight go the distance and only one of his five fights as a pro made it all the way to the third round.
Bellator 181 takes place on Friday, July 14 from the Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma with Derek Campos and Patricky Freire headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which is airing live on Spike TV.
