The California Kid is back.
Urijah Faber retired after his 2016 send off, but wisely never left the United States Anti Doping Agency testing pool, allowing him to return at any point. He did just that, and with a vengeance at UFC Sacramento Saturday night, beating Ricky Simon.
Faber entered the cage to the familiar "California Love" theme from Dr. Dre and Tupac, which was longer than the fight itself.

Welcome back, @UrijahFaber! #UFCSacramento now on https://t.co/eokxjaRtpJ pic.twitter.com/vSktHgvqad
Faber took on Ricky Simon, who entered the fight 15-1, and 3-0 in the UFC. That didn't mean a whole lot to Faber after two and a half years off, as he'd quickly drop Simon and follow up with ground and pound, causing the referee to call a stop to the action in under one minute.

Simon would protest the stoppage, along with many more on social media, but it was too little, too late. Faber now has won his first back-to-back fights since 2014.
