Women’s Bout Pulled From TUF 25 Finale

The UFC Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale is going to go on with one less fight as a women’s bantamweight division fight between Aspen Ladd and Jessica Eye has been pulled from the card.

Here is the UFC’s statement on the bout being canceled:

Best Canadian Fighters - MMA

“Due to illness, Aspen Ladd has been removed from her Friday night bout against Jessica Eye at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The TUF Finale card will proceed as scheduled with 11 bouts that begin at 3:30pm PT / 6:30pm ET.”

If the bout had gone on as planned, it would have marked the UFC debut for Ladd, while Eye was looking to pick up her second win in the promotion.

There is no word yet on what kind of illness cost Ladd her bout against Eye, there is no timetable set yet for the fighters return. Much like the recent Donald Cerrone/Robbie Lawler fight that was rescheduled for UFC 214, the same could happen for Eye/Ladd.

UFC Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale takes place on Friday, July 7 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Justin Gaethje and Michael Johnson headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
