A middleweight division attraction has been added to UFC 230 according to the UFC as #1 Yoel Romero is in action against #8 Paulo Costa.
Romero (13-3-0) has won just one of his last three fights under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over former UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold at UFC 221. Romero has twice before challenged for the UFC Middleweight Title, losing both times to Robert Whittaker at UFC 213 and UFC 225. Romero has earned a total of thirteen wins as a professional MMA fighter, but he has yet to pick up a victory by way of submission.
Costa (12-0-0) has already earned four victories in UFC competition, having defeated Garreth McClellan, Oluwale Bamgbose, Johny Hendricks and Uriah Hall. Costa has yet to go the distance as a professional MMA fighter and only three fights have gotten out of the opening round. Costa has earned eleven wins by KO/TKO and one by submission, with that lone submission victory coming over Eduardo Ramon at Jungle Fight 87.
