It has not been officially confirmed that they have been released from their contracts. Both women are still listed as active superstars on the WWE.com roster page.

Raj Giri reported on June 15 that Banks had been released, but there was no confirmation from WWE or Banks that was the case.

Banks and Naomi were indefinitely suspended by WWE on May 20 after walking out on the May 16 episode of WWE Raw. According to WWE's statement, "they walked into WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis’ office with their suitcases in hand, placed their tag team championship belts on his desk, and walked out."

Banks and Naomi were advertised to compete in a six-pack challenge on the May 16 WWE Raw against Nikki ASH, Doudrop, Becky Lynch, and Asuka. The bout was changed to Lynch vs. Asuka with WWE announcers referencing the walkout and calling Banks & Naomi "unprofessional" and saying they "disappointed the WWE Universe."

The duo were the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions at the time of their walkout.

Neither has publicly commented on the situation.
