Hurricane Irma's destruction throughout the Caribbean and state of Florida has left nothing but destruction in its wake, destroying homes and sometimes even entire nations. Count NXT's Lacey Evans among those who have lost their home as a result of the devastating storm.
Evans revealed on Instagram that she has lost her home and is currently recovering any personal items scattered around, some of which include photos of Evans' father, who had passed away.
In an interview with USA Today last month, Evans talked about the tragic nature of her father's death.
"My father overdosed two months before my WWE tryout... My biggest thing, and he didn't make it. He didn't make it to any graduation I've ever had. Not high school. Not college. Not the Marine Corps. I've done big things and he never made it to one."
Evans has been with WWE since last year and participated in this year's Mae Young Classic. Evans defeated Taynara Conti in the first round of the tournament but lost to tournament semifinalist Toni Storm in the Round of 16.
Evans wasn't the only WWE wrestler to be affected by Irma. SmackDown Tag Team champion Big E was in Tampa when Irma reached Florida and WWE Champion Jinder Mahal was not able to attend UFC 215 to support his friend Arjan Bhullar, who was fighting on the card, because he got stuck in Florida.
