Ronda Rousey has barely been heard from since her December UFC 207 loss to Amanda Nunes, but immediately after, rumors of a WWE return went wild.
Legendary manager and self professed advocate Paul Heyman spoke with Fight Society this week ahead of WrestleMania. Heyman, who "advocates" for another former UFC Champion in Brock Lesnar, said that Rousey would be a great addition to WWE.
“I think the WWE audience would embrace Ronda Rousey with open arms,” Heyman said. “Just her name recognition alone is huge. It doesn’t matter, her past two experiences in the UFC. All that matters is if she got involved in a story that people could relate to and sink their teeth into and get excited about.”
Rousey has been seen at WWE, PWG, and AIW wrestling shows, and has close connections with pro wrestlers. Heyman also seemed more than willing to take Rousey on as a client in the ring.
“I think Ronda Rousey doing anything in WWE is a natural fit. I’d love to see it and would be happy to discuss with her all the benefits that she could enure by being a Paul Heyman girl," said Heyman.
