Also, following the news of the fight still being on, UFC President Dana White took a quick jab at the MMA media:

Here is the original story we posted earlier today on Fightful:

Pearl Gonzalez has been pulled from tomorrow’s UFC 210 card by the New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) after it was discovered she has breast implants.

According to a rule from the NYSAC handbook, female competitors are not allowed to compete if they have breast implants. Interestingly enough, other female UFC fighters have competed in the state of New York with breast implants, so it is unknown at this time why Gonzalez was singled out.

Gonzalez did make weight this morning and also passed all medical testing that the NYSAC put her, along with the other UFC 210 competitors through.

The women’s strawweight division fighter was set to face Cynthia Calvillo on the main card of UFC 210, it is too late to find a replacement opponent for Calvillo.

If the fight had gone through, it would have been the UFC debut for Gonzalez, while it would’ve been the second UFC fight for Calvillo.

Neither Gonzalez, the UFC or the NYSAC have issued a comment on the matter.

UFC 210 takes place on Saturday, April 8 from the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York with Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
