Raw 25 Youtube Numbers Explode, With Lesnar, Strowman, Kane Leading

WWE's Raw 25 was a hit both on television and Youtube. The same couldn't be said for the following night's Smackdown Live.

From top to bottom, WWE found success with segments involving both nostalgia and current stars. The Raw 25 opening managed 1.3 million views on its own by Friday, while the Steve Austin vs. the McMahons angle that kicked off Raw exploded at 4.1 million views.

A few legend-based moments on the show also did excellent numbers. Kurt Angle and The Coach's parade of bizarre WWE legends landed at 1.7 million, and the Undertaker's nondescript in-ring promo garnered 2.5 million views. WWE honoring their female legends hit 2.1 million

Bridging the gap between modern day stars and those of yesteryear were DX and the Kliq's passing of "Too Sweet" to the Balor Club, which had 1.2 million views.

Modern day wrestlers weren't to be outshone, it seems. Roman Reigns vs. Miz (1.2M), and Elias and John Cena (1M). The biggest success of them all was Braun Strowman, Brock Lesnar and Kane's show-ending angle that did a monstrous 5M views.

It wasn't just regular on-screen content that delivered for WWE. The Boogeyman feeding Xavier Woods worms made it all the way to 1.5 million.

Over on Smackdown Live after a three-day window, nothing made it past 850,000 views. The most viewed segment was the AJ Styles vs. Sami Zayn main event, which reached that mark.
