A lightweight division affair may be making its way to the UFC Fight Night Belem card as Alan Patrick could be facing Damir Hadzovic.
Combate first reported the potential fight.
Patrick (14-1-0) enters the fight riding a two bout winning streak, last defeating Stevie Ray at UFC Fight Night 95. Patrick has only suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Mairbek Taisumov at UFC Fight Night 69. Patrick is also returning to action after being away for more than a year, as his last bout came in September of 2016.
Hadzovic (11-3-0) is looking to build on the momentum of his first UFC win, which came over Marcin Held at UFC Fight Night 109. Hadzovic has suffered three defeats as a professional MMA fighter, which all came to UFC veterans in Mairbek Taisumov, Andreas Stahl and Krzysztof Jotko. Hadzovic also competed in the Cage Warriors promotion, where he defeated UFC veteran John Maguire by knockout.
UFC Fight Night Belem takes place on Saturday, February 3 from the Manguerinho Gymnasium in Belem, Brazil with Lyoto Machida and Eryk Anders headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
