The following is a play-by play of the match between Ellsworth and Aldis.

Ellsworth is visibly scared in the beginning. Aldis levels him with a punch and beats him up in the corners of the ring. Ellsworth avoids one attack and attempts to throw his knee at Aldis. He feigns injury then attempts a schoolboy on Aldis.

Ellsworth runs around the ring avoiding Aldis and lands a dropkick and cross-body on Aldis. Aldis then catches Ellsworth and pins him. However, Ellsworth's foot was on the rope and the match is restarted.

With a couple of quick pin attempts Ellsworth gets a couple of two-counts. He lands a series of offense including a second rope flatliner. Aldis attempts a powerbomb but Ellsworth pokes his eye. Then Ellsworth lands a superkick. He lines up a sweet chin music but Aldis catches the kick and turns it into a cloverleaf submission.
