Roderick Strong and Kalisto are the next two cruiserweights to advance in the tournament that will crown a new champion.
Strong defeated Hideo Itami in a hard fought match, finishing off Itami with a release suplex into a backbreaker. Meanwhile, Kalisto defeated Lince Dorado after planting Dorada with the Salina del Sol while Dorado was looking to grab him. They join Cedric Alexander and TJP in the second round.
Scheduled for next week is Mark Andrews, a standout during the WWE United Kingdom tournament, taking on Akira Tozawa. Meanwhile, new General Manager had words for Tony Nese and Drew Gulak.
