Luke Kurtis Talks Breaking Out, 'I'm a TV Guy. I Like The Cameras On Me'

Luke Kurtis is ready for his big break.

Despite only starting his career back in 2021, Luke Kurtis has already established himself as a top independent name, dominating Ohio Valley Wrestling for the first half of 2024. In the final two months of the year, Kurtis also progressed by debuting for NJPW and competing against Frankie Kazarian/Rhino at an independent event.

While speaking with Fightful for a new interview over WrestleCade weekend, Kurtis spoke about breaking out and how he continues to integrate himself into the business.

"I've been wrestling for four years now, so I'm still relatively new to professional wrestling. I've talked to guys that they say if you told me you were wrestling ten years, I'd say you were still a green boy. So after about three years, whatever the time comes you get to a point where you start to get a little more integrated into the business and you start to rub the right elbow. So I try to be as present as possible because you never know exactly what's going to stick, where you're going to end up."

Kurtis continued on and talked about how he's a TV guy and how he prefers to have the cameras on him.

"So you kind of have to explore your options. You don't know necessarily which locker room is going to fit you and which promotion is going to put you [with] the best foot forward. So I've appeared for WWE, AEW, TNA, New Japan, NWA. Pretty much any major promotion and wrestling. I like to focus on the TV. I'm a TV guy. Obviously, I can put in the work, but I like the television. I like the cameras on me."

Elsewhere in the interview, Kurtis said that he'd be open to competing for Bloodsport. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
