Eddie Edwards came to the ring for a "System Firing" after Edwards gave an ultimatum to The System (Brian Myers, JDC, Moose & Alisha Edwards). JDC, Brian Myers & Alisha said she was in with Edwards's vision of The System. Cody Deaner came to the ring to try and sway Moose's opinion, but was attacked by The System.

Santino Marella confronted The System backstage to announce that Matt Cardona & Leon Slater will be the first entrants for Ultimate X.

Mike Santana presented his friend Derek, who had been three-months sober, to Santino Marella and thanked him for giving him the opportunity to be a part of the ring crew.

Steph DeLander & Mance Warner spoke on the ramp, bragging about being the cover of TNA Weekly. After having a steamy kiss, Marella interrupted them and immediately took the TNA Digital Media title from DeLander & Warner before announcing the TNA International Title. Marella announced that the tournament will consist of only Triple Threat Matches to tribute the iconic match between AJ Styles, Samoa Joe & Christopher Daniels. Sami Callihan attacked Mance Warner before launching him off the stage through a table.

The Personal Concierge & Heather By Elegance spoke backstage, where they said they had their eyes in scouting Maggie Lee into the Elegance Brand.

Mustafa Ali's cabinet (Tasha Steelz, Jason Hotch & John Skyler) took Derek from the parking lot before bringing him into Mustafa Ali. Ali reprimanded Derek for his involvement in a car accident last year before declaring that people like him do not deserve to be happy. After Hotch asked Ali why they let him go, Ali responded by saying the following: "He's an addict. They destroy themselves."

Sanitno Marella was backstage, where he announced that Eddie Edwards, Ace Austin & Steve Maclin as part as the first qualifier match for the TNA International Title.

Hijo del Vikingo was announced to participate in Ultimate X at TNA Rebellion.
- Tessa Blanchard & Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx) (w/ Fallon Henley) def. Masha Slamovich, Xia Brookside & Lei Ying Lee via Pinfall (Buzzsaw DDT from Blanchard on Slamovich).
- Rosemary was in the crowd watching the match.
- Santino Marella revealed the second qualifier match for the TNA International Title. JDC, Sami Callihan & Eric Young will be the participants.

Santino Marella revealed the third & final qualifier match for the TNA International Title. AJ Francis, Zachary Wentz & Mance Warner. Sami Callihan then appeared and demanded to be inserted into the three-way to get his hands on Warner, which Marella obliged with. Callihan swapped Wentz.

Frankie Kazarian came to the ring to announce he would call his shot at the TNA World Title at TNA Rebellion; however, he was interrupted by NXT's Ethan Page. Page said he spoke with Marella and revealed he was now booked to be the challenger for the TNA World Title. Kazarian was furious about this, which led to him swinging his trophy at Page, but Page ducked before catching him with the big boot. Page stood tall to end the broadcast.
