ROH Announces Women Of Honor Championship

Ring Of Honor took a giant step for their Women of Honor division during Friday Night's Final Battle PPV.

The company announced that 2018 will see a Women of Honor Champion, to be determined via a tournament. A date wasn't announced, but several members of the roster were brought to the stage to be present for the announcement. The title will serve as the fifth active recognized championship by ROH.

While ROH has filmed Women of Honor matches for quite some time, they're rarely if ever broadcast on ROH TV, instead being relegated to their "Women of Honor Wednesday" series to help provide digital content for the promotion. Among those in the division are Deonna Purrazzo, Mandy Leon, Brandi Rhodes, Kelly Klein, Scarlett Bordeaux, Karen Q, Jenny Rose, Faye Jackon, Stella Gray, Solo Darling and others.

That wasn't the only new championship title debuted on the show. As teased by ROH World Champion Cody in the days prior to the event, his title received a big makeover.
