Seth Rollins Addresses Kenny Omega To WWE Rumors

Count Seth Rollins among those who would love to see Kenny Omega end up in WWE.

Conducting a WWE media call to promote the Royal Rumble this Sunday in San Antonio, Rollins was asked about the rumors within the wrestling community that Omega might be WWE-bound, and said the following:

Brett Lauderdale On Naming GCW Shows: The Real Answer Is A Lot Of Them Are Just Names Of Songs That I Like

"I'd love to see Kenny do what makes him happy. Kenny obviously has talent to be one of the best wrestlers in the entire world. I'm sure he'd love the opportunity to come here and prove himself against the top talent in the world, here in WWE. But if he's happy in New Japan, and he's kicking but over there, obviously he's got more to do if he wants to take on [Kauzchika] Okada and win that [IWGP] Heavyweight Championship over there."

Speculation has run rampant about the future of Omega since his main event with Kazuchika Okada at Wrestle Kingdom 11, the biggest event of the year for New Japan Pro Wrestling. Omega announced a break from Japan soon thereafter, and John Cena made a couple of Instagram posts that were interpreted as teases that Omega was on his way to the company.

Earlier this month, WWE posted a video on its YouTube channel asking various members of the roster what wrestlers they would like to see make surprise appearances in the Rumble. Rollins' answer in the match was that he would like to see Omega. WWE took down the video, making it private, before re-uploading it with Rollins' part of the video edited out.
