Shane McMahon Suspended Indefinitely By WWE, Vince McMahon Appearing Next Week

Jeff Jarrett isn't the only head honcho out of power in pro wrestling -- Shane McMahon is out as WWE Smackdown Live Commissioner for the time being.

While Jarrett's is far from a storyline, Shane McMahon was suspended indefinitely on this week's episode of Smackdown Live by WWE General Manager Daniel Bryan. Bryan told Shane McMahon that the action was demanded by his father Vince McMahon via phone after seeing the night's opening segment.

At the end of the show, Daniel Bryan announced that Vince McMahon would be on Smackdown Live next week to address the situation.

McMahon confronted former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens at the top of the show as Owens was attempting to make himself a special guest referee in the scheduled Natalya vs. Carmella match. Owens would blame McMahon for all of his recent downfalls before targeting Shane McMahon's family.

Owens said that the world would have been better had Shane McMahon not survived his recent helicopter crash. After an earlier warning from McMahon to not speak about his children, Owens said that it would have benefited Shane's wife, children and the rest of his family had he not lived through the accident.

Later backstage, Owens said that he planned on pressing criminal charges on Shane McMahon in addition to suing him, his family and the WWE itself.

It's worth noting that Vince McMahon didn't actually appear and wasn't heard on the show, and was only mentioned as having spoke to Daniel Bryan on the phone.
