Teddy Long Says Two Former Intercontinental Champions Are Returning To WWE

If Teddy Long is to be believed, the WWE is adding two former champions to their roster soon.

On an episode of The Gerweck Report, former WWE General Manager Teddy Long says that MVP told him that both he and Shelton Benjamin would be returning to the WWE after undergoing medical testing. This comes after the news that Curt Hawkins, Rhyno and possibly Jinder Mahal may also return to the company.

MVP has performed for New Japan Pro Wrestling, TNA and several independent promotions since his exit from the WWE in late 2010. MVP was briefly working with Lucha Underground, but had his contract terminated after interviewing several of the talents for his podcast.

Benjamin, a former Intercontinental, United States and Tag Team champion, was released by the WWE in 2010. Since then, Benjamin has worked in New Japan, NOAH and Ring of Honor.

MVP went on Twitter to address the rumors, saying "The same reports that had us at the draft? The ones that have us at the Rumble every year?"
