Three Fights Added To UFC Fight Night Fresno, Including Former Title Challengers

A trio of bouts have been added to UFC Fight Night Fresno as #10 (BW) Alexis Davis faces #11 (BW) Liz Carmouche at flyweight, Trevin Giles faces Antonio Braga Neto and Carls John De Tomas faces Alex Perez.

Davis (18-7-0) has rotated wins and losses in her last four UFC appearances, with her last bout being a win over Cindy Dandois at UFC Fight Night 108. Davis has previously challenged for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Title, losing to then champion Ronda Rousey at UFC 175.

Carmouche (11-5-0) suffered a defeat to Davis in their first meeting at UFC Fights For The Troops 3 and that loss came by way of decision. Carmouche has also previously challenged for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Title, also losing to then champion Ronda Rousey at UFC 157.

Giles (10-0-0) has already competed once in the UFC, defeating James Bochnovic by first round knockout at UFC 213. Giles has seen just one of his ten professional MMA fights go the distance and that came against Ryan Spann at Legacy Fighting Alliance 3.

Neto (9-2-0-1NC) is competing for the first time in over three years, with his last bout being a loss to Clint Hester at UFC Fight Night 44. Neto has also earned two wins during his time in the UFC, with those wins coming over Brock Larson and Anthony Smith.

De Tomas (6-1-0) is currently winless under the UFC banner, having dropped a bout to Naoki Inoue at UFC Fight Night 111. De Tomas is also a former Universal Reality Combat Championship Flyweight Champion, but he relinquished the belt after signing with the UFC.

Perez (18-4-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and he does so on the strength of a five fight winning streak. Perez also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 5, defeating Kevin Gray by submission.

UFC Fight Night Fresno takes place on Saturday, December 9 from the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
