Another UFC fighter is in trouble with USADA.

Ruslan Magomedov has not competed since he defeated Shawn Jordan at an October 2015 UFC event, but according to the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), Magomedov has been notified of a potential out of competition test failure.

Magomedov was set to compete at UFC 204 against Stefan Struve, but Magomedov is currently suffering from an unnamed infection and was pulled from the card.

The UFC released an official statement on the situation:

“The UFC organization was notified that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has informed Ruslan Magomedov of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collection made on September 7, 2016. USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of this case. It is important to note that, under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full and fair review process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed. Additional information will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward.”

Magomedov has already earned three wins under the UFC banner, defeating the aforementioned Shawn Jordan, but also Viktor Pesta and Josh Copeland as well. Prior to coming to the UFC in 2014, Magomedov also earned a pair of wins over two former UFC Heavyweight Champions in Tim Sylvia and Ricco Rodriguez.
