UFC fighters Angela Magana and Cyborg were involved in a brief scuffle recently at the UFC fighters retreat.
For those who didn’t hear what happened, the strawweight fighter in Magana had been posting negative things about Cyborg on Twitter. This led to the two coming face to face at the fighters retreat and that lead to Cyborg punching Magana.
According to UFC President Dana White, the UFC brass is looking into the whole situation.
“Obviously we’re looking more into that,” White said at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26 tryouts. “It’s very serious. We’ll see what happens.”
Cyborg responded to the situation by posting a lengthy response via Twitter, while Magana has also challenged Cyborg to a grappling match to settle their differences.
White also wants fans to know that the authorities are handling this as well, not just the UFC.
“This is a thing that the district attorney and police are handling right now. There’s way more to that than just what am I thinking about,” says White.
Magana and Cyborg weren’t the only two fighters to get physical at the fighters retreat, as Jeremy Stephens and Mike Perry had a brief altercation during a Snoop Dogg concert that was a part of the fighter retreat.
