UFC President Shoots Down Diaz – McGregor III Rumor

MMA

UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor recently made his professional boxing debut with The Money Fight and he suffered a tenth round TKO loss to Floyd Mayweather.

Ever since the harrowing defeat, there has only been speculation as to what the lightweight champions next move could possibly be.

One of the strongest rumors is that the Irish MMA superstar would face longtime rival Nate Diaz in a third fight, potentially at UFC 219 this coming December.

However, before the fans can get too hyped for the possible third fight between the two, the UFC President in Dana White quickly shot things down.

White did so through a four word post on Twitter:

The UFC President was responding to a Twitter post from Team FA, which is the Twitter account of a gambling site out of the United Kingdom.

McGregor and Diaz have collided twice before, with Diaz winning by submission at UFC 196 and then McGregor winning by decision at UFC 202.

Diaz hasn’t competed since the second fight with McGregor, while the Irishman went onto defeat Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 to win the UFC Lightweight Title.
