In the video above, Charlotte Flair gives Renee Young an update on the condition of her father, Ric Flair, and how he's doing following bowel surgery and a battle with kidney failure.
She thanked fans for their support, both of her and her dad, and cautioned that while there was reason for optimism, "he's not gonna be back strutting next week," added "he's got a long road ahead." But she said she wouldn't be back if she didn't feel like it was safe to be away from his side.
She said that the past two weeks have been pretty harrowing, but it's good to be back on the road, travelling with Becky Lynch and seeing her friends, like AJ Styles, Tyler Breeze and The New Day.
Charlotte did not appear on SmackDown last night, but has worked the weekend loop in Baton Rouge & Monroe, Louisiana and Texarkana, Arkansas.
