Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Vitor Belfort made weight in anticipation for his bout with Uriah Hall at UFC Fight Night St. Louis.
A problem arose when Hall first didn’t even weigh-in and then had to be hospitalized due to the affect of the weight cut.
The bout, which was supposed to serve as Belfort’s retirement bout, would be scrapped.
Belfort has now taken to Instagram to comment on the whole series of events:
Things aren’t all bad for the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, because just about a day later, it has been reported that he will face former UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping this March in the main event of UFC Fight Night London. Bisping, however, has denied claims.
Besides the potential encounter being Bisping's retirement bout, it could also be the final fight for Belfort as well.
