Adam Cole hypes Halftime Heat.
This Sunday, WWE will present the return of Halftime Heat, a special one-off match that will take place during the halftime of the Super Bowl. The bout pits Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa and Adam Cole against Aleister Black, Velveteen Dream and Ricochet. Ahead of the bout, Adam Cole spoke to TMZ about why fans should tune in.
"People turn into the Super Bowl for excitement. I'm not a huge football guy but I watch the Super Bowl every year because it's exciting," said Cole. "I think NXT brings more excitement than anything else in the world. NXT is like a 'rock concert, roller coaster ride.' The passion that the wrestlers and fans have, the style we bring to the table. You see some of the most innovative, hard hitting...exciting wrestling on the planet. To get the chance to that on a big platform, there's a chance for more people than ever before to see NXT. If you decide to change the channel, that 30 minutes you spend will be the best 30 minutes because it's going to be a wild ride."
Cole continued with a more in-character response, stating that he is outraged that he is not a champion in NXT and he's tired of guys trying to jump the line.
"I'm a guy who feels like I should be I should be a champion at NXT. I think it's an outrage that I'm not. We have guys on the opposing team who feel, for some reason, they are in the front of the line. When it comes to the front of the line, that's all Adam Cole."
Cold ended the interview by asking Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine to tune in. You can view the entire interview with Cole in the video above.
