Adam Cole will have to defend his NXT Championship next month at TakeOver.
After a back-and-forth session of negotiations, NXT General Manager William Regal announced that Cole will defend his title against Velveteen Dream at NXT TakeOver: In Your House. However, there is a stipulation at the request of the champion: If Cole defeats Dream and retains his title, then Dream will never get to challenge for the title so long as Cole is holding it.
In addition, the match will take place at a location that is yet to be determined as Regal will choose the location of the match. The event will take place on June 7.
