Adam Copeland Feels AEW Is Putting More Emphasis On Storylines, 'Dream Matches Can Only Happen So Often'

At AEW All Out, Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page capped off, for now, a year-long rivalry that has seen breaking and entering, arson, blood drinking, and much more.

The rivalry came to a close in a Lights Out Steel Cage match that saw a staple guns, a cinderblock, a syringe, burnt wood, and a chair. In the end, Hangman was victorious after knocking out Swerve with a chair shot to the head.

Speaking to Dean Moses of AMNY, Adam Copeland praised the work of both men.

"It feels like we’re getting more storyline emphasis because dream matches can only happen so often, and how sustainable is it? Story is always sustainable. Good story can last and last and last, and then you can always revisit it. I look at the Hangman/Swerve story and I’ve just loved watching the slow progression,” he said.

Copeland is currently sidelined with after suffering a fractured tibia at AEW Double Or Nothing.

Elsewhere during the interview, Copeland commented on possibly opening a wrestling school. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
