It was a night of surprises at GCW Fight Club.
The show got underway with a change in the opening match as AEW and NJPW star Lio Rush was added to the opening match between Alex Zayne and Ninja Mack, making it a triple threat bout.
Zayne was victorious in the bout, which was Lio's first GCW bout since Draft Day in May. After announcing his retirement from wrestling on June 8, Rush continue to fulfill his NJPW commitments before officially returning and signing with AEW on September 30.

Lio wasn't the only AEW star to make a surprise appearance.
Later in the night, Thunder Rosa joined a six-way scramble, turning it into a seven-way contest. Rosa has made appearances at GCW events, but this marked her first official match for the company.
Jimmy Lloyd was victorious in the bout, which always featured Gringo Loco, ASF, Brayden Lee, Dante Leon, and Calvin Tankman.

AEW stars weren't the only ones to walk through the GCW door as ROH legends The Briscoes (Mark & Jay Briscoe) also showed up, stepping to GCW Tag Team Champions The Second Gear Crew (Mance Warner & Matthew Justice) and accepting their challenge to any team in any promotion.
No date was given for the bout.
