After seeing a jump in viewership last week, AEW Dynamite and NXT's viewership was down this week.
According to numbers released by Showbuzz Daily, the May 13 episode of Dynamite averaged 654,000 viewers, which is down from last week's 732,000 viewers. This week's viewership number for Dynamite was the lowest for 2020. NXT, on the other hand, averaged 604,000 viewers, which is down from last week's 663,000 viewers.
In the 18-49 demographic, Dynamite came out on top with a 0.23 rating, good for 15th best on cable for the day and down from last week's 0.28 rating. NXT drew a 0.15 rating in that demographic, which is 46th best on cable and up from last week's 0.18 rating.
Dynamite saw the in-ring return of MJF while Chris Jericho and Brodie Lee both picked up victories in their respective singles matches. Kenny Omega & Matt Hardy also teamed up again to take on Santana & Ortiz.
In the opening match, Matt Riddle & Timothy Thatcher lost the NXT Tag Team Championship to Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel and in the main event, Riddle defeated Thatcher. Also on the show was the continuation of the Interim NXT Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.
