AEW Dynamite (6/14/23) Preview: AEW Returns To DC As The Road To AEW Collision Rolls On

It's Wednesday, June 14, 2023, and you know what that means!

It's time to break down the June 14, 2023 episode of AEW Dynamite on TBS.

Diamond Dallas Page: Cody Rhodes Is A Visionary, He's The Real Deal

AEW returns to the location of the very first Dynamite show that will feature many of the top stars in action in what will be a big week for All Elite Wrestling.

This episode will feature two championship matches, MF and Adam Cole going one-on-one, Sting in action, and more.

Here's everything you need to know before the latest AEW Dynamite on TBS.

Adam Cole vs. MJF

Adam Cole is back and he's finally ready to step across the ring from MJF.

After going back and forth and trading very personal barbs in a promo on June 7, an AEW World Championship Eliminator Match will go down.

Should Adam Cole win tonight he will have earned a world championship opportunity, but if Maxwell does defeat Adam Cole, he may be able to refer to himself as the greatest AEW World Champion of all time.

Competition is running low for MJF but Cole is ready to drop the Boom.

The Blackpool Combat Club Again Goes To War With The Elite

Less than a month after their hellacious Anarchy in the Arena match at AEW Double or Nothing 2023, Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli take on The Hung Bucks' Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, and Adam Page in a Trios Match in Washington DC.

Just shy of four years ago, several men in this match helped kick off AEW Dynamite inside the Capital One Arena. Now, these six men look to tear each other apart as they continue to wage war over who is truly the elite group in AEW.

On June 14, the next chapter in this war will be written, potentially in blood.

The Mogul Embassy Look To Take Down Sting And Some Dudes With Attitudes

The legendary Sting will be stepping into the ring on the June 14 episode of AEW Dynamite. Teaming alongside his protege Darby Allin, Keith Lee, and Orange Cassidy, Sting will look to leave the charge against Swerve Strickland and The Mogul Embassy.

Sting has previously talked about knowing that his career is winding down, and Swerve Strickland would love nothing more than to send Sting into retirement well before he's even ready.

Still, Sting isn't looking to go down without a fight and on June 14, it will, in fact, be Showtime inside the Capital One Arena.

Two Title Bouts

There will be two championship matches on the June 14 episode of AEW Dynamite. Toni Storm will once again step inside the ring with Skye Blue as she looks to further establish dominance as the AEW Women's World Champion.

Also, Wardlow looks to step inside the ring with an old rival in Jake Hager. This match will be for the TNT Title, and Hager will be looking to pick up his first singles championship in years.

For now, Wardlow must put his issues with Christian Cage and Luchasaurus on the back burner as he looks to take down "The Rock Hard One." once and for all.

Sammy Guevara Returns

Sammy Guevara is scheduled to return to AEW Dynamite on June 14.

Guevara hasn't appeared on AEW television since challenging for the AEW World Title against MJF, Darby Allin, and "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry in the Four Pillars four-way at AEW Double or Nothing. Guevara and his wife Tay Melo announced Tay was expecting before the match itself.

What's next for the father-to-be? AEW fans will find out when Sammy Guevara returns to Washington DC, the same city and arena where he had the very first match in AEW Dynamite history.
