AEW: Fight Forever is already winning awards.
AEW: Fight Forever had a playable demo at Gamescom 2022. For the first time ever, fans were able to be hands-on with the first ever console video game from All Elite Wrestling. In the gameplay footage shown, it was clear to see that THQNordic and Yuke’s were trying to revitalize the gameplay of the Nintendo 64 era with a control system very similar to WWF No Mercy from two decades ago.
As it turns out, what was playable at Gamescom was already good enough to win an award. During the award show on August 27, AEW: Fight Forever won the award for “Best Sports/Racing Game” presented at the show. The upcoming game beat out GOAL! The Club Manager, and Ultimechs in order to win this award. Evil Uno and Colt Cabana were on hand to accept the award.
