AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita defeats TNA X-Division Champion Mike Bailey in the main event of the first night of Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling Forged In Excellence.

In what was a heavily competitive match between two top champions across two of America's top wrestling promotions, AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita got the better of TNA X-Division Champion Mike Bailey in the headlining match that closed out the first night of Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling Forged In Excellence.

Both men hit each other with everything they had. Bailey was able to kick out of a Blue Thunder Bomb. Takeshita was able to kick out of Bailey's Ultima Weapon into a Leg Drop. Bailey was even able to kick out of Takeshita's Underhook Sit-Out Tombstone. In the end, AEW's "Alpha" got the victory with a running knee to an exhausted "Speedball followed by Raging Thunder.

To officially close out the show, Josh Alexander came down to confront Konosuke Takeshita.
